I have discovered a great difficulty with these paintings, and maybe all works where the artists limits him/her self down to just a few variables. I have removed all color and distance while focusing directly on just one singular item. All I am left with is composition, rendering and surface. Of course rendering and surface both hold many nuances but I believe most can agree that this latest series of paintings are very limited.
When limiting variables, the remaining become extremely important. The slightest error in either, resounds like a warning bell. And composition / shape resounds loudest of all.
