After 15 hours of working on this drawing over 10 days I’m ready to call it finished.
I learned some great techniques with this drawing and I’ve already incorporated them into other drawings.
I spent about an hour finishing this drawing then I spent another 30 minutes just thinking about what I should work on next. I’m still always thinking about where I’m going to take my artwork. I’m constantly working on trying to get better but I’ve yet to pin down my “voice” so to speak. I’m sure it will come in time, but I’m not waiting for inspiration to strike. I’ll keep working daily.
Well, I’ve finished this drawing and I’m very happy with how it looks.see the post
I only spent an hour drawing today as I was interrupted by work.see the post
I’m at the point in the drawing where I’m refining and darkening everything. Basically just building up the charcoal in layers.see the post
Stay the Course
Wow it is hot here! Unfortunately the heat saps my energy and focus, making it hard to stay the course.see the post
Magic: Session 6
I don’t have much to say about the drawing so far so I will let the images just show progress on the session.see the post
Moving Forward Slowly
Not much to say about today’s session, more of the same just moving forward slowly.see the post
Not only is my progress on this so subtle that you can barely see it from day to day but I didn’t have the time to spend 2 full hour on it.see the post
I finished up the contour of the figure then I got messy with filling in all of the paper with charcoal. I guess I could have just started with gray paper…see the post
I’ve been doing some experimenting on this drawing rather than sticking with my normal process. I’m not sure if that is a good thing.see the post
New Drawing: Magic
I’m starting another new drawing and I’m not sure if I will ever get back to the two paintings I started.see the post
