I have a day off work today and a long hike planned so I’m making progress however small on this painting.
Day seven on this painting and I’ve pulled out the smaller brushes.
Sunday early morning painting and I’m wonder how smooth is smooth enough.
This morning as I continue with the Paper Star painting I’m contemplating changing the title of these paintings.
I moved back to the Paper Star and begin refining it’s edges today.
I spent a lot of time working on refining the subtle transitions of value with the paper folds today.
Time has been a scarce commodity these past few days but I still plan my art and execute when I can.
I had a super busy work day today and little time to work on this painting but I got some focused work in.
Because all of the other paintings are still wet I’ve started a fourth painting in tandem.
The first strokes of oil on my Paper Star painting and I’m figuring out the hue needed for an ethereal glow.
I started drawing and painting on the third painting that I will be working on in tandem with others.
I’m having a challenging time today because of issues with sleep last night, but I made good progress.
I’ve started painting on Resurgence today and I’m having fun using a new set of colors I bought.
Wow! Super busy day today but I still got some art in.
The “Knot” painting is not dry. I don’t think it will be dry for a week so I’m starting on “Resurgence”.
This morning I put my first layer of oil paint on the canvas and intentionally kept it as intense as possible.
I changed direction on this painting a bit today by planning to make it more than just a study.
I’m beginning studies for my next big painting.
I ran lots of errands today so I didn’t get a good plan together for painting again so I did a gesture study instead.
I’m going to be painting again. The first painting is going to be in preparation for an idea that I’ve had for months.
I’ve finished my drawing of Westley and Buttercup from the Princess Bride movie. It’s not my best drawing in the Fandom Fitness series, but I…
Working on Westley’s sword arm and hand today after most of my day spent at work.
It’s amazing how just adding in a few sharp lines and darker values will change an area from a blob of unfinished to an object…
It’s interesting how some small changes can bring a drawing closer to finished than hours of larger work.
