Daily Art #3055

Working slowly and accurately is faster than just painting fast.

Okay after today’s first session I’m reminded once again, that working slowly with deep focus and accuracy is the most important thing I can do.

This painting has a lot of problems with the colors of the flesh tones. They look really fake and have a mannequin feel to the colors. I’m not sure if this is because I’m working from a photograph that has been altered or I just don’t have a good understanding of what makes general flesh tones.

At some point I will try a bunch of different flesh tone mixtures to see what colors on my palette work the best for more accurate flush tones.
