I’m not writing up this feedback until the day after a wonder OFC session and hiking with Pattie.
This session went really well. The drawing was a bit easier to pull off as there was no face to worry about. I also used some Golden GAC 100 to cover the graphite after I was done drawing. This didn’t smudge the graphite at all and it kept the graphite out of the oil paint and my colors pure.
I did check the drawing using Photoshop after doing an initial hour long drawing and I was pretty close to everything except the small details in the face. The nose and lips were off a bit.
Painting on the next hour was quick and flowed well. I mixed two lines of colors on my palette. One for the skin tones and one for the hair. I used this key for the whole painting and was able to progress quickly. Especially after applying the GAC 100. I liked how the oil paint glided over the surface. I may have to use it again and for more than just protecting a drawing.
What went well, what was awesome! Celebrate It!
Awesome day on a snow covered mountain!
