Today was an “art walk” day, where I attempted to do art and walk 50,000 steps.
I have a Garmin watch and one of the badges is 50k steps in one day. I’ve done 20k steps in a day and I felt that if I planned it right, with walking broken up with resting, throughout the day I could reach the 50k mark. It’s a personal challenge. But, I didn’t quite reach 50k, I ended up with 30k and that was much harder than I though.
I still feel accomplished getting that much in but I do wish that the breaks between walking where I worked on this painting was longer.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned, reconfirmed to be exact, from today was that when my body is tired so is my mind. This make my painting time largely unfocused.
It’s only when we stretch ourselves that we learn something and today was one of those days.
What went well, what was awesome! Celebrate It!
30,000 steps in one day and good progress on Resurgence.
What needs work? What did you learn?
Get as much time on art as I can.
How am I going to Optimize moving forward?
Tomorrow I will rest and paint while getting all my fundamentals done.
