Sunday early morning painting and I’m wonder how smooth is smooth enough.
I don’t go for exact photographic reproduction of the subjects I work from. I feel that communication of a motive is more important than just getting it to look like what it is. But for these paper paintings I love the subtle glow of light on the paper and I think that only getting it very smooth will produce that.
I’ll have to actually finish a few to determine if I’m right or not. So, I’m back to what I always do. Keep moving forward, every day, no matter how small.
What went well, what was awesome! Celebrate It!
Getting the hang of painting again and dealing with a fluid medium.
What needs work? What did you learn?
More time on art.
How am I going to Optimize moving forward?
I won’t be able to spend much more time on art this weekend as I do during the week day but I can go deep with my focus for the time I do have.
