The first strokes of oil on my Paper Star painting and I’m figuring out the hue needed for an ethereal glow.
I started painting the lighter parts of the paper with several different color combination and ended up removing all that I tried in favor fore getting the darker areas blocked in first. I may wait till the black dries and try to work on the light area beginning with glazes.
Basic daily warm-up.
Another night of great sleep and I’m focused and working hard on Sunday morning.
When dealing with subtle hues any black added to the mixture will turn it dead.
