It’s amazing how just adding in a few sharp lines and darker values will change an area from a blob of unfinished to an object with form.
I worked on Westley’s shirt and arm this morning, defining as much a I could with the black fabric and playing down the wound on his shoulder.
After staring at this image from the moving for days now I see how bad the makeup was for his arm wound. It’s just a big skin colored red paint splattered shoulder pad. Haha! Funny how I don’t even care. This is an amazing movie and made even better by the lack of need for top notch special effects.
