When a piece takes this long to figure out at some point you start second guessing your abilities.
I’ve spent 23 days on this drawing and even though I’ve lowered the time I work on it daily I’m still feeling self conscious about it.
The portrait is working great, love it. But the background of the ghost like shapes are just not there. It doesn’t have the quality I’m looking for… Yet.
Challenges, they’re great, but uncomfortable. I’ll keep plugging away at it.

Warm-up
The normal 15 minute warm-up in graphite.

What went well, what was awesome! Celebrate It!
Feeling that I’m out of my comfort zone. This is a great sign that I’m pushing myself to new and greater heights. I can’t help but learn something after this.
What needs work? What did you learn?
The drawing needs work and I’m going to keep pounding at it until it works or I learn.
How am I going to Optimize moving forward?
Daily art, keep consistent.
