Yeah, an odd title for a post. I’m slowly rendering this figure creeping from left to right. Hence the title.
Not really much to say about today’s session and I’m also running late so I’m making this post brief.
I worked on the hand and butt mostly. This painting is so small that I’m almost putting my nose on the canvas I’m getting so close. Especially when rendering the hand I felt that I needed to get super detailed just to turn the form of each finger. One day I’m sure I will be able to describe these areas in simples strokes like Sargent or Rembrandt but that takes lots of time and experience. It is all part of a large process.
