This is the first time I’ve begun a long term painting using burnt umber to build up the values first.
Basically I’m experimenting, trying new things. This is nice though, I like working with one tone. Although, I’m not sure how it’s going to look once I’m done with establishing the values and I begin to add color.
I plan on waiting to add color this Saturday once I’m facing the actual model again. I don’t think I’ll finish it then, but I want to start the color work in person and not from photo.
