I wasn’t sure if I should categorize this beach sketch as a still life or landscape, so I used both. The next few posts are going to be short as I’ve been traveling for work over a few days and I’m behind on my posts.

This was right before my trip to Chicago, Pattie and I traveled to Ebey’s Landing and had a very nice walk to the beach where I sat down and sketched some beautiful driftwood. Honestly the amount of detail that could be described in this small piece of wood could have had me on the beach for a month, but I kept it to an hour.

  1. I think once I get our Discover Pass, we can come here nearly anytime and you can set up a painting session, landscapes, or sketching sessions. It was a great location!

I am an Artist and a programmer currently living in the amazing state of Washington. I have a passion for art, but I'm stubborn as hell with it. My day is complete only when I do some piece of art each day, no matter how small. "There was a dream that was Rome. You could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish, it was so fragile."
