Today I went back to basics. Through this I’m learning that there is a wealth of great information that I don’t know.
I took a large step in my training today by actually enrolling in an online atelier. I have been looking at the Jeff Watts Atelier for a while now and wondering if I should do it or not. But after watching lots of his free videos on Youtube and the atelier website I decided that it would be best for my ultimate goals.
There is just so much information that his atelier has to offer, much more than I could ever receive from a university, and all of it very practical. Honestly I watched about 2 or 3 hours of videos and read all the workbooks for the first part of the fundamentals course and I learned so much, in just a FEW HOURS!
Also while watching his dexterity with a pencil I learned just how far away from my goal I am. I’m glad that I found someone online knowledgeable enough to give it to me straight, by dispelling all my assumptions, giving me the hard truth of training, and letting me know that I’m just not working hard enough to achieve what I want. I wonder if most people would be discouraged by this? Not me, I’m ready to buckle down and hit it hard, and not just today, or tomorrow, but for the rest of my life.
I’m so motivated that tomorrow I’m going to try a marathon art session of 8 hours. This should be a combination of everything and all about training.
