Anatomy Review: Head and Neck

We are in the middle of moving plus I have a big deadline at work so I figure cutting down my art time to 30 minutes a day for these next few days is in order. Also this is a good time for reviewing the entire anatomy of the body daily, and today I start with the head and neck.

I’ve found that if I draw from Rey’s illustrations on the black board using graphite for the whole drawing then going back over the bones with ink, and layering the muscles over that with color pencil it works well especially with the anatomy of the head and neck. The only time that it doesn’t work well is when there is a lot of layered muscles, which is most of the body actually. I may need to get some more colors for the muscles.

I am an Artist and a programmer currently living in the amazing state of Washington. I have a passion for art, but I'm stubborn as hell with it. My day is complete only when I do some piece of art each day, no matter how small. "There was a dream that was Rome. You could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish, it was so fragile."
