With this painting I will start adding my still life setup time to my painting duration log. I wanted to start focusing on a clear goal now and part of that goal is having an expressive composition, which of course takes time to setup.
The other part of my goals is perfect drawing and masterful brushwork. Because I don’t believe you can have one without the other, at least when dealing with the representation of an object. So I’m going to focus really hard now, and see if I can pull off some really good paintings instead of the mediocre sketches I have been doing lately.
