Painting a tiger again yay! The most difficult thing about painting a tiger is keeping track of all the stripes. There is such a huge amount of detail, all in random shapes, that it’s easy to get lost.
What went well? Block-in of the tiger is going well. Not too detailed, accurate enough.
What needs work? Values. The highlights on the tiger should be much brighter and that necessitates that I bring down the shadows side more.
How can I improve? Analyze the values with the current painting closer with a good photo and compare it in black and white form from the photo I’m working from.
