3160: Vulnerability Four, Session 12

Still fussing with the background.

Vulnerability Four

Thinking deeply on the background and how it effects the figure is not something that I worried about much in the past. Normally I would just paint what I see. But now, it’s something I’m creating with no reference. I’m thinking about color, texture and contrast. Tonight I’m going to have to return to the original purpose of this painting, the motive, and determine how to best serve that motive with the background.

What went well, what was awesome! Celebrate It!

Great sleep!

What needs work? What did you learn?

Stay on track with my day and avoid all the snacks!

How am I going to Optimize moving forward?

Log it in the morning and stick to it.

I am an Artist and a programmer currently living in the amazing state of Washington. I have a passion for art, but I'm stubborn as hell with it. My day is complete only when I do some piece of art each day, no matter how small. "There was a dream that was Rome. You could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish, it was so fragile."
