3126: Vulnerability Two, Session 3

I went a bit crazy today on the Vulnerability Two painting and I’m loving it!

Today’s CreateQuest Wisdom

It’s easy to look at the end product of other amazing artists.

Every time I scroll through Instagram I’m blown away by the quality of work I see.

But it’s equally easy to scroll through social media, feel overwhelmed and question if you even have what it takes.

I’ve been there… A lot!

But, here is the thing that most artists never show you.

Great art takes time! A lot of time!

Vulnerability Two

I’m super inspired by the works from Robert Liberace and Ann Gale.

I love how these painting have a definite form in the figure. I can feel their shape in space. But their all made up of a mass of strokes without any hard edges.

I thought I was going crazy with my painting but looking at Ann Gale and Robert Liberace I see that I have many more levels of crazy that I can go.

I’m going to “steal” their influence and translate it through my own voice. There is something about the freedom with the brush here that excites me immensely.

I do want this painting to dry first before I continue on with it and considering how much paint I piled on to it, that is going to take a while. Tomorrow I’m going to start a new painting.

What went well, what was awesome! Celebrate It!

Super fun day of painting! I didn’t want to stop!

What needs work? What did you learn?

Get my evening plan back on track. I posed this a day late.

How am I going to Optimize moving forward?

Make up the time, recommit to my evening shutdown ritual.
