3090: Drawing Planes

I’m starting another painting and today was drawing and planes work.

Today I started drawing the details of the figure.

Then I began working on the planes of the figure and analyzing how the form moved.

I finished laying out all the planes that I want on the figure. Next I decided on a color scheme.

I’m going to use a traidic palette for this painting.

I’m trying to learn from exactly what Denis Sarazhin has done with this painting.

From my analysis he is using a traidic palette.

The primary is Magenta, and the secondaries are Yellow and Cyan.

This works almost perfectly with the Munsell Color wheel.

I don’t think I will begin painting today but I’ve got the groundwork laid for starting tomorrow.
